Armenia’s representative Hakob Mkrtchyan (89 kg) won a silver medal at the World Weightlifting Championship in Ashkhabad.
The championship news department reported that he ranked second with 205 kilograms in the snatch and won a silver medal. Earlier Hakob had lifted 160 kilos. He ended 7th with 365kg in total.
Liana Gyurjyan (71 kg) ranked 19th, Isabella Yaylyan (59 kg) ended 9th.
Tatev Hakobyan (81 kg), Arpine Dalalyan (+ 87 kg), Simon Martirosyan (109 kg) and Gor Minasyan (+109kg) are yet to compete.
