Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has posted a ‘historic’ selfie with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on Facebook ahead of his trip to New York.
“This is a historic photo. Why? Because this is the first selfie of the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Armenian leader in the history of Armenia. We are heading to New York with His Holiness,” Pashinyan said.
The prime minister has departed for New York on Sunday to address the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly. A landmark exhibition titled “Armenia!” is opening at the world-famous Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Monday, September 24, in attendance of the PM and Catholicos Karekin II.
