New York-based Armenian painter Tigran Tsitoghdzyan’s works are on display at the Modern Arts Gallery of Istanbul.
The exhibition opened on Thursday September 20 and will run through Sunday, September 23, the artist said on Instagram.
The Yerevan-born artist, who gained prominence thanks to his hyper-realistic portraits of women, took to the painting art since early ages. He opened his first personal exhibition when he was only 10, showcasing 102 oil paintings which were later exhibited also in Spain, Russia, Japan and the United States.
A graduate of the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Art (1999), he later pursued his professional studies at École cantonale d’art du Valais in Switzerland, obtaining bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 2002 and 2005, respectively.
Tsitoghdzyan moved to New York in 2009.
