17 young people from Armenia’s Goris and Tatev communities launched an online crowdfunding campaign to carry out the renovation of the libraries’ reading room in Goris.
Before the campaign, three day #SummerDemoCamp has been initiated, during which 16 young people have developed their leadership skills, learnt about public policy, met with local government officials, NGO representatives, volunteers who serve in community and together decided to initiate this campaign.
The goal of the initiative is to unite young people with innovative ideas through the creation of an active youth center to promote communication and collaboration among them, thus contributing to community development, the initiators of the campaign detail.
Young people have created a campaign page in Indigogo, made a promo video and target $1,000 as a goal for the campaign. Thanks to more than 30 contributors from all over the world, young people have already raised $675 and are very close to the target.

Armenia’s Ministry of Culture has expressed readiness to provide technical assistance and equipment (worth 5 million AMD) within the framework of the accreditation program.
