The event will be held as part of AGBU’s 94th General Assembly and will be dedicated to the organization’s 120 years of activity.
“LEGACY” will bring together Armenian artists from different generations on one stage, presenting a combination of music, dance, fine art, and contemporary visual art. Participants will include Sebu Simonian, singer-songwriter and member of the duo Capital Cities; duduk player Emmanuel Hovhannisyan; painter and video artist Gevorg Mourad; singer Inga Arshakyan; cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan; soprano Armine Vardanyan; oboist Hayk Hekekyan; the Navasart Folk Project; AGBU Montreal’s Garni Dance Ensemble; and the AGBU Stars Children’s Choir.
A distinctive feature of the program is the integration of different art forms, presenting Armenian musical heritage through contemporary stage and visual approaches. According to the organizers, the event aims to preserve and present Armenian cultural heritage in a new way through artists from different generations.
“LEGACY” will take place on October 17 at 20:00. Tickets are priced from 50 to 150 Canadian dollars. The event is planned as the concluding cultural event of AGBU’s 94th General Assembly program.
