The National Geographic has published pictures of Nagorno-Karabakh on Instagram within the government’s Birth Encouragement Program, an initiative that hoped to spark a baby boom in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Her parents, Anush and Grigory, pictured with Maria’s godparents and grandmother, received a wedding and first baby payment of approximately 765 euros as part of the government’s Birth Encouragement Program, an initiative that hoped to spark a baby boom there. Nagorno-Karabakh, a de facto independent republic, is internationally recognized as a part of Azerbaijan,” the National Geographic wrote on Instagram alongside a photo.
The National Geographic also posted a photo from the wedding ceremony in Artsakh. “Artak Petrosyan and his bride, Armine Baghdasaryan, sit at the main table during the evening reception following their wedding in Khtsaberd Village, Hadrut Region, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
The young couple received a wedding payment of approximately 575 euros as part of the government’s Birth,” wrote on Instagram.
