The above associations are pleased to invite you to a ConferenceDebate followed by a snack with Ara SARAFIAN British historian, Armenian activist and founder of the GOMIDAS Institute in London. For many years now, Ara SARAFIAN believes that recognition by the Turkish Government of the Armenian Genocide will be the result of the pressure exerted by the Turkish civil society.
Again this year, for the 100th anniversary of the Genocide, Ara SARAFIAN undertook a very moving project to Diyarbakir and its surrounding area with a group of students, academics and journalists. This event was widely covered by many Turkish media outlets.

Dear friends,
The above associations are pleased to invite you to a ConferenceDebate followed by a snack with Ara SARAFIAN British historian, Armenian activist and founder of the GOMIDAS Institute in London.
Ara SARAFIAN will present his vision for the years ahead with its opportunities and challenges for what might be a broader strategy that Armenians might adopt together – Diaspora, Republic of Armenia, variousstates and NGOs – without forgetting the essential vector of Turkish civilsociety and its Kurdish component, as well as what Laure MARCHAND journalistcorresponding in Turkey for Le Figaro and Guillaume PERRIER journalist in the newspaper Le Monde have called “The Armenian Phantom of the Turkey” in their book, i.e. this multitude, maybe even more than one million people who are officially Muslim and today unveil their Armenian roots buried before them by their parents, grandparents or greatgrandparents who escaped the genocide.

Ara SARAFIAN, will open a dialogue without taboos and will answer all your questions, fears, doubts, discouragement or hopes. He will speak in Armenian and English.
The evening will be divided into two parts: 1. 7:45 pm9:00 pm ConferenceDiscussion (free entrance).
