H.H. Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians Condemns Attacks on Syrian Armenians

Holy Etchmiadzin reported this week that attacks were carried out on the St. Sarkis Armenian Church and the Holy Translators Armenian School in Damascus, Syria. Children were among the victims of the November 11 mortar shelling.

 His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, expressed his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. He condemned the violence against children, and the spate of attacks on Christian neighborhoods.
On Sunday, November 17, a requiem service will be held at Holy Etchmiadzin. A prayer will also be offered for peace in Syria.
