We were devastated to learn of the deadly and destructive tornado which ravaged through the city of Newcastle, Moore and parts of southern Oklahoma City. More than two dozen have lost their lives including nine children. Seven of those children died at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, a pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade school.
Today we join the nation in mourning the loss of innocent lives and we call upon the Diocesan faithful to keep the victims and their families in their fervent prayers.
May the All Merciful God rest the souls of those who lost their lives and grant comfort and consolation to all who are in mourning.
