YEREVAN (YERKIR) – Speaking to Radio Liberty, Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian said he had “moderate expectations” from his meeting with Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mamadyarov, Noyan Tapan reported. He made the remarks following the November 14 meeting held in Brussels.

“I would not say that those moderate expectations came true in full but I can say that some progress was made,” Oskanian said. He added he believed the negotiations should continue as there was some rapprochement following the Moscow and Paris meetings.
Oskanian also said that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs have decided to offer the presidents to hold another meeting later this month at the CIS summit. But it is up to the presidents to accept or deny the offer, he added.

The co-chairs plan to visit the region shortly; they are to visit Yerevan as soon as November 21, according to Oskanian.
Commenting on the signing of the action plan with the European Union, Oskanian said Armenia entered a new stage with the Union with the adoption of this document.
