In his words, results of these efforts «will depend on Armenia’s ability to conceive current processes.» «Turkey intends to create neighborly relations with Armenia. We suggested to investigate the events of 1915 with participation of Turkish and Armenian scholars, as well as using archive data of third countries. This was done by a letter of Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed to Armenian President Robert Kocharian. Tan confirmed «the fact of holding unofficial talks with Armenia, saying that the talks, of which the third round is already complete, are held at the level of advisors to FMs,» he noted, Turkish media report.
Meanwhile, the Armenian MFA does not deny or confirm reports on secret meetings between Armenian and Turkish diplomats. As acting Spokesperson of the Armenian MFA Vladimir Karapetyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, «Armenian and Turkish diplomats have contacts at various levels.»
