PARIS, FEBRUARY 11. ARMINFO. Armenian and Azeri Presidents Robert Kocharyan and Ilham Aliev finished the first round of their talks in Rambouillet, Paris, yesterday night.
The talks started 08:00 PM Yerevan time. First the OSCE MG co-chairs were present, but they left the room some 40 later to leave the presidents to negotiate tete-a-tete for over 2 hours more. Joining the presidents 11:00 PM Yerevan time were Armenian and Azeri Foreign Ministers Vardan Oskanyan and ELmar Mamedyarov. The first round finished by midnight.
So, the longest and most intensive presidential meeting is over. Today the presidents will meet again 11:00 AM Yerevan time. There is no information about the format of the second round yet. The presidents are not to meet with journalists. But the OSCE MG co-chairs may well give a briefing.
