Ohio Likely to Recognize Armenian Genocide

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ With adopting the bill submitted by member of the Ohio House of Representatives Tod Book, April 24 will be marked as the Day of Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide victims. Chairperson of the Washington Office of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) Elizabeth Chuljian stated, “The text of the document is very simple. It says that Ohio recognizes the Armenian Genocide. The ANCA Office in Eastern U.S. is promoting the issue. According to the Easter Region Director Doug Geogerian, the office is working for the adoption of the bill and calls upon the U.S. Congressmen to pass the document. To all appearance the bill will be adopted, reported FRE/RL.
