YEREVAN, JANUARY 28. ARMINFO. Today Armenia is celebrating the Day of the National Army.
In his message of congratulations Armenian President Robert Kocharyan says that today the Armenian armed forces carry out their patriotic mission with dignity. They are the pledge of Armenia’s security and peaceful development and of the balance of forces in the region. The Armenian army is the strongest structure of the Armenian state and has played a key role in the building of independent Armenia. The army was formed during the Karabakh war by the joint effort and will of the people. Its founders are immortal heros who will be always remembered by the Armenian people, says Kocharyan.
