YEREVAN ZVARTNOTS AIRPORT RESUMES OPERATION

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24. ARMINFO. The Yerevan Zvartnots Airport resumed its operation at 3:00 AM today. It was closed 5:00 PM Monday because of a strong snowfall, reports the press service of the Chief Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia.

Cancelled were 8 arrivals and 8 departures. Today the airport is working double rate. Armenia’s second airport in Gyumri was also closed.

Armenia has three reserve airports: in Min Vody, Sochi (Russia) and Tbilisi. The Monday landing of a “Siberia” Moscow-Yerevan plane in Baku was forced as none of the reserve airports could receive the aircraft.
