YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS: Armenia’s national statistical committee said today the GDP growth in the first 11 months of 2005 amounted to 13.5 percent from a year ago, falling, however, 16 percent in 2005 October against 2004 October.
The committee said industrial growth was 6,8 percent from a year ago and 1 percent against 2005 October. In the first 11 months of 2005 some 5.7 billion kilowatt/hours electricity was produced, marking a 6 percent growth from a year ago. The growth rate in agriculture in this period of time was 10 percent from a year ago.
It also said Armenian foreign trade in the first 11 months of the year made almost $2.5 billion, marking a 31 percent growth from a year ago. Armstat said exports made $867.5 million, and imports $1,580 million.
