KORAN TO BE RELEASED IN ARMENIAN

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS: The holy book of Muslims, the Koran will be released in Armenian before 2006, March 21. Translator Eduard Hahkverdian told Armenpress that the book was translated from Farsi.
It has 1000 pages. All 114 suras and some commentaries were translated. Some of suras were published in Armenian in 2004 and 2005. The publication is sponsored by the Iranian embassy in Armenia. The last Armenian translation of Koran was published in 1912.
