YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 26. ARMINFO. After their rally against the constitutional reform on November 25, representatives of the opposition parties Republic and Heritage spent the whole night in the open air in the Freedom Square.
Leader of the heritage party Raffi Hovannisian told ARMINFO’s correspondent that the police also spent the night in the square. The police did not disperse the people. When the demonstrators made fires not to get cold, the police demanded to put out then not to contradict to the public order, Hovannisian said. He added that the opposition intends to organize a rally at 15:00 local time, today.
In his turn, Leader of the Republic party Aram Sargsyan said: “the authorities always leave the police and the opposition tete-a-tete at night. One day the opposition and the police will unite and awaken the authorities.” He said the opposition is decisive and intends to spend in open air another night. The opposition will rally till November 29 as the authorities sanctioned the rallies till this date. Sargsyan explained the small number of demonstrators with the fact that “the people support the opposition, but they do not want to fight for the .” “I am sure the people will assess our efforts and support us,” Aram Sargsyan said.
