YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 02. ARMINFO.Today, an Armenian citizen, prisoner in Azerbaijan, returned to his homeland. His returnal was organized with the assistance of the international Red Cross Committee. It took place on Gazakh-Ijevan road. The press service of IDCC in Yerevan informed ARMINFO about this.
The IRCC assisted the returnal of the prisoner, according to its mandate, acting as a neutral observer, by the suggestion of the Armenian and Azeri authorities.The delegates of IRDC visited the prisoner before its returnal, to make sure that he returns to motherland on his own will. Since the beginning of its activities in the zone of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the IRDC contributed to the returnal and exchange of 653 people.
