YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 12. ARMINFO. Festivities on the occasion of the 2,786th Anniversary of Yerevan are expected in the city on October 8-9. Yerevan Vice Mayor Arman Sahakyan told journalists Monday.
He said the municipal authorities have started preparing the scenario of the festivities Erebuni-Yerevan. The director is the well-known Armenian director Vigen Stepanyan. The festivities will open on October 8 at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet. The same evening a concert and unprecedented fireworks are expected in the Republic Square. Vice Mayor said the sum required for the event is determined. To note, last year, the government allocated 70 mln AMD from the reserve fund for the festivities.
