The Armenian National Committee, Richmond Chapter is hosting its 59th annual picnic on Sept. 11.
The picnic begins at 1 p.m. at the picnic grounds of St. James Armenian Church, 834 Pepper Ave.
Foods will include lamb shish kebabs, rice pilaf and desserts. There will also be Armenian coffee and reading, the board game tavlou, an Oriental rug raffle, and music by “Peruz and the Hye Variations.”
Advance reservations of shish kebab plates, available through Sept. 4, are advised. Advance plate is $13; at event, $15. Raffle tickets are $5.
