LONDON, August 20 (IranMania) – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling team returned home from the western Turkish seaport Izmir in the wee hours of Saturday, IRNA said.
Iran finished fourth with an asset of one gold, one silver, and one bronze.
The colorful medals handed Iran 32 points.
Mehdi Ashkani snatched the glittering gold in the 60 kg category and his teammates, Hassan Rangraz and Mehdi Sharabiani, snatched silver and bronze in the 55 kg and 120 kg classes respectively.
Turkey was crowned at the tournament on 56 points, followed by runner-up Kazakhstan and third-placed Armenia with 36 and 34 points.
