INTERROGATION OF SUSPECT IN MAY 10, 2005 ACT OF TERRORISM AGAINST U.S. AND GEORGIA’s PRESIDENTS IN TBILISI IS POSTPONED AT DOCTORS’ REQUEST

TBILISI, JULY 21. ARMINFO. The interrogation of a suspect in the act of terrorism against the U.S. and Georgia’s Presidents has been postponed at doctors’ request.

Detained Vladimir Harutyunyan is in Republican hospital in Tbilisi as he was wounded during the detaining operation. According to “Rustavi-2” TV-company’s information, the issue on possible conduction of interrogation will be solved after doctors’ consultation. At present, Harutyunyan is in affective state, he speaks much and states that “if he had an opportunity he will try again to explode both presidents”. Doctors confirm that there is no danger for his life, RBK informs.

To remind, on May 10, 2005 during the speech of the U.S. President George Bush at Freedom square in Tbilisi an unknown from public thrown a RGD-5 grenade which fell in 30 meters from a platform where G. Bush and Georgia’s President Mikhail Sahakashvili stood. The U.S FBI stated that the grenade was live and posed a threat for their life. Georgia’s Ministry for Internal Affairs promises $80 mln fee for information about a violator.
