More Than 106 Thousand People Gets Status Of Unemployed In Armenia InJanuary-April

YEREVAN, JUNE 3, NOYAN TAPAN. In Armenia, in January-April, the average
number of the economically active population made 1203.8 thousand
people, 91.2% or 1097.6 thousand of whose were busy in the economy,
and 8.8% or 106.2 thousand had no work. The latters were registered
at the “RA Employment Service” agency of the RA Ministry of Labour and
Social Affairs and got the status of an unemployed. Early this year 2.3
thousand people found job, 56.5% of whose are women. According to the
RA National Statistic Service’s data, late in April the manpower demand
made 1118 people among whose 66.2% or 740 for worker’s professions.
