YEREVAN, MAY 31, ARMENPRESS: The British Airways will double the number of flights to Armenian capital from June 18- from 3 weekly flights to six. Simon Avakian, head of British Airway’s sales department in Yerevan, said flights to Yerevan are operated by British Mediterranean Airways, a franchise of British Airways which operates routes to the Middle East, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Airbus A-320/321 fly from London to Yerevan and back. British Airways was the first European carrier to start flying planes to Armenia. Simon Avakian also said the passenger flow has increased this year 15-20 percent.
