YEREVAN, MAY 5, ARMENPRESS: Germany’s Lufthansa will launch scheduled flights to Yerevan on June 2 and will offer three flights per week between Yerevan and Munich operating the modern and comfortable Airbus A319/320 aircraft family.

Terminal 2 in Munich airport, Lufthansa’s southern hub, is today the most modern terminal in Europe and is named best airport in Europe 2005. Munich airport will offer Lufthansa passengers flying from Yerevan convenient connections to Lufthansa destinations worldwide, including a broad range of intercontinental flights to North and South America, Asia, Africa and Middle East.
This will be the second German city to have air connection with the Armenian capital, in addition to regular flights between Yerevan and Frankfurt .
Also Austrian Airlines and Czech Airways have said they will increase the number of regular flights between Vienna and Prague and Yerevan. Beginning from mid-June flights between Yerevan and Vienna will be operated seven days a week instead of current six flights and from May 8 there will three flights per week between Yerevan and Prague. Planes fly also from Yerevan to Amsterdam and London.
Yerevan’s main Zvartnots airport reported last year a 20 percent passenger increase.
