YEREVAN, DECEMBER 21. ARMINFO. As for Dec 21 the territorial Social services of Armenia have received 2,730,137 applications from the residents who want to receive social cards, but 1,542,850 have been given. Head of the department for public relations of Ministry of labour and social affairs of Armenia told ARMINFO.
She stressed that since Jan 1, 2005 all the residents in Armenia must have social security cards. Those who do not take social cards may face a number of problems when conducting financial and social operations in 2005, including they cannot receive social allowance, pension or salary.
Minister of labour and social affairs had earlier said if natural persons do not receive cards before the closing date, then their employers will be called to account.
