YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 15. ARMINFO. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has given a letter of thanks to the actors of the Gabriel Sundukyan Drama Theater who have recently toured California with Shant’s Old Gods and a play by an English dramatist.
The company’s artistic director Vahe Shahverdyan says that the American audience kindly welcomed the Armenian actors who have been invited to tour the US again.
The company’s director Stepan Davtyan says that the tour was organized with the support of Armenia’s Culture Ministry. “It’s the first time we have come from the US with no losses that is nobody stayed there,” says Davtyan. Nothing strange considering that the Armenian actors were forcd to hand over their passports the moment they set foot in the US.
