About 11000 cars were imported in Armenia during 9 month of the year 2004. As Automarket.am came to know from the press service of the Armenian Customs Committee, about 14000 cars were brought to Armenia during same period of last year. Besides, this year number of the imported minibuses has also reduced from 2,1 thousand (during 9 months of 2003) to 260, however, the number of trucks increased from 800 to 1000. At that decrease in importing cars of Russian production can be observed this year. If in the course of 9 month of the year 2003 7000 out of the 10700 imported cars were Russian ones, so during the same period of 2004 only 4400 out of 9300 automobiles were produced in Russia. To note, the year 2003 can be called a peak of car import in Armenia, as the number of cars brought to Armenia in 2003 had increased twice as compared to 2002.
