The Francophonia Permanent Council in Paris has made a decision on granting Armenia observer status in the International Organization of Francophonia, Armenian Ambassador to France Edvard Nalbandian stated. As reported by the Foreign Ministry Press Service, Armenia got an official invitation to take part in the Francophonia 10-th summit. The official delegation of Armenia headed by Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian will participate in the Organization summit for the first time and the ceremony of granting the observer status will be held there. It should be noted that 5 states – the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Slovenia, Slovakia and Poland – have observer status in the organization, comprising 51 countries.
