YEREVAN, JULY 28. ARMINFO. The 3rd international competition New Wave is opening Yurmala (Latvia) today. Armenia is represented by Hayer vocal quartet.
The soloist of the quartet Emmy took part in the 2nd New Wave last year receiving the audience award.
This time participating in the competition will be 16 singers from Armenia, Germany, Israel, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Russia, the United States, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Estonia.
The first prize winner will receive $25,000, the second and third prize winners $20,000 and $15,000 respectively. In the jury are well-known composers Igor Krutoy and Raimod Pauls. Among the guests are Bony Tyler and Thomas Anders.
