DURING HORSE RACE FOR RUSSIAN PRESIDENT´S PRIZE IN MOSCOW ROBERT KOCHARIAN´S SON WAS TAKEN FOR GARRY KASPAROV

Last Saturday during the horse race for Russian President’s Prize on the Moscow race tracks, where the CIS leaders were present, Robert Kocharian’s elder son, “who looked like chess player Garry Kasparov”, approached Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. As reported by Komsomolskaya Pravda Russian newspaper, some people taking Kocharian’s son for the famous chess player were extremely surprised at the scene as Kasparov is a member of Choice-2008 opposition committee founded by the Rights and members of Khodorkovski’s team. The newspaper writes that Russia’s President not only gave a nod of greeting but also shook hands with him. According to Russian journalists, who were covering the horse race, R. Kocharian’s son felt rather awkward – “not only that he had to sit with his back to Russia’s President, he had to turn around to speak to the Ukrainian leader from time to time”.
