YEREVAN, JUNE 18. ARMINFO. The idea of Eurasian integration is passing from philosophic speculation into practical application, Armenia’s President Robert Kocharyan said while speaking at the Astana international forum “Eurasian Integration: Development Trends and Globalization Challenges.”
Eurasian economic community is restoring ties and forming new level of cooperation. This should inevitably boost economic growth in the member countries. Security is as crucial for sustainable development as internal political and economic stability. In Eurasia one should consider possibilities of inter-ethnic and inter-religious dialogue. Eurasia is a crossroads of civilizations, cultures and traditions. Based on this diversity new Eurasia countries are moving towards democratic society and free market.
Global unification is not applicable here. Each society is unique and peculiar. But globalization implies interaction opportunities, wider markets, capital, labour force and technology inflows. This is a serious factor of inter-state relations opening up new horizons but requiring serious efforts to harmonize economies.
