82 FAMILIES FROM ARMENIA, CIS AND MIDDLE EAST MOVED TO KARABAKH SINCE BEGINNING OF CURRENT YEAR

Eighty-two families or 326 people – 134 of them children — from Armenia, CIS countries and Middle East have moved to Nagorno Karabakh permanently this year. As Serge Amirkhanian, head of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic’s Department of Migration and Resettlement Affairs said, over 100 houses will be built by August with the assistance of the Armenians of Diaspora to accommodate the newcomers. At the same time he added that priority is given to young couples and large families. Besides in the Nor Getashen village of the Shahumian region, a secondary school will be built and equipped by the 23 million dram assistance given by the Spain Prelacy of the Armenian church, Amirkhanian said, adding another school will be built by the donation of the Tehran Prelacy.
