Armenia is interested in activation of cooperation with the countries of the Persian Gulf, including with Qatar, Armenian President Robert Kocharian stated today when receiving the credentials of newly-appointed Qatar Ambassador to Armenia Saleh Ibrahim al-Kuwari (residence in Teheran). As reported by the Press Service of the Armenian leader, in the course of the meeting the parties noted the relations between the two countries entered a qualitatively new stage after the official visit the Armenian head paid to Qatar in 2002. Touching upon the prospects of development of economic cooperation, the Ambassador accentuated his country was interested in the food and construction industries of Armenia.
