WASHINGTON, MAY 7, ARMENPRESS: President George W. Bush announced Thursday his intention to nominate John Marshall Evans, of Virginia, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Armenia.
A career member of the Senior Foreign Service, Mr. Evans currently serves as Director of the State Department’s Office of Russian Affairs. He previously served as Director of the Office of Analysis for Russia and Eurasia in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research. Mr. Evans earned his bachelor’s degree from Yale University.
