WASHINGTON (AA) – It was reported that the US would send its Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage to Yerivan late this month as an attempt to normalize Turkish-Armenian relations and he could meet with top level officials in Turkey.
Diplomatic sources said that the US administration could send Armitage to Yerivan for normalizing its relations with Turkey.
Reportedly, the US added Armenia into its “The Greater Middle East Project” although existence of a strong Armenian diaspora in Washington the US would try to convince Armenia to act with the US. It was reported that Armenia was an important country due to US’ Iran policy.
