armenpress: ARMENIA EXPECTS HUNGARIAN AUTHORITIES TO STRICTLY PUNISH MURDERER OF ARMENIAN OFFICER IN BUDAPEST

The people of Armenia and the relatives of officer of the armed forces of Armenia Gurgen Margarian, killed in Budapest by an Azeri serviceman February 19, expect that the Hungarian authorities will display the necessary consecution and the criminal will be punished to the utmost austerity of the law. Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian stated it today at a meeting with Hungarian Ambassador to Armenia Ferentz Contra, who handed him copies of his credentials. The Ambassador presented deep condolences of the Hungarian government to the Minister on the occasion of the tragedy occurred. In the course of the conversation the parties also concerned matters of development of cooperation between the two countries in various fields. V. Oskanian emphasized the circumstance that Hungary will soon become a full member of the European Union, owing to which its ties with Armenia will actively evolve within the framework of the Armenia-EU Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation.
