arminfo: 10,000 AZERBAIJANI VOLUNTEERS READY TO JOINT ARMY

YEREVAN, MARCH 5. ARMINFO. A 10-thousand army of volunteers composed of veterans of the Karabakh war of 1988-1994 are waiting for an order to joint the army in case military operations are resumed in Nagorny Karabakh, says an article entitled “Black spots in Azerbaijan’s history: Khojaly Genocide” by Edil Bagirov, published by the BAKU TODAY newspaper.

According to the author, “during the years of aggressions and occupation of Azerbaijani territories, Armenia has assumed an advantageous position, hoping that Azerbaijan will forgive and forget the past.” However, an opposite trend among Azerbaijanians both in and outside the country has been observed in the course of time, which is expressed in growing disappointment, irritation and determination, which will reach its climax one day. According to the author, “the Azerbaijani people’s determination is manifested in everything, particularly, in the repeatedly made appeals for liberating the occupied territories in a military way.” The author points out that Armenia has noticed a change in the Azerbaijani people and is launching counterpropaganda against it, which testifies to Armenians fear of those appeals.
