Archbishop Hovnan Derderian visits the Diocese of the Armenian Church
of Canada
His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western
Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, will pay a visit to his
former parishioners in Toronto on Sunday 7 March, 2004.
Archbishop Derderian will preside over the Divine Liturgy and will
deliver the sermon. On behalf of the Primate, the Diocesan Council and
the faithful of the Armenian Church of Canada, we welcome Archbishop
Derderian and wish him good health and success.
A Gift of Episcopal Ring by Deuvletian Family of Montreal to the
Primate of the Canadian Diocese
Mr. and Mrs. Jirair and Kenar Deuvletians of Montreal have donated an
Episcopal ring to His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian. The ring
symbolizes the authority of the Primacy. The Primate and the Diocesan
Council have decided that henceforth the ring transferred to
consecutive Primates of the Canadian Diocese.
Mr. and Mrs. Deuvletian, devoted members of the Armenian Church, have
for many years supported the Canadian Diocese both morally and
financially. This donation of the Episcopal ring is indeed a
reflection of their faith and love to the Armenian Church and to the
Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
