ST.PETERSBURG, DECEMBER 1. ARMINFO. The newly elected leadership of Azerbaijan shows positive mood with respect to the prospects of the Karabakh conflict settlement, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said during his Sunday meeting with Armenia’s President Robert Kocharyan.
The meeting was held in St.Petersburg on Kocharyan’s initiative.
Putin said that he spoke with Ilham Aliev right after his recent meeting with the spiritual leaders of the Caucasus. “We have a good conversation,” Putin noted. He said he was glad at the chance to meet with Kocharyan once again and to discuss with him the prospects of the Karabakh conflict settlement as well as some other regional problems.
