YEREVAN, OCTOBER 27, ARMENPRESS: Authorities in Nagorno Karabagh said that 12 families making a total of 50 people, have moved this year to settle down permanently in the region. The resettlement is part of a program called Return to Karabagh, steered by Karabagh government and an Armenian government-affiliated department for refugees and migrants. It is funded by the government of Karabagh.
Families wishing to move to Karabagh are entitled to a range of privileges. The head of the family receives 20,000 Drams one-time assistance, other families get each 5,000 Drams. They are also given a cottage which they can privatize after ten-year residential qualification, a land plot, cattle and a 120,000 loan with low interest rate.
