YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Musical Assembly will hold a musical festival in Yerevan October 15-17 dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Aram Khachaturian, the outstanding Armenian compose, who was the first Armenian to compose a concerto, a symphony, and a ballet and creating his own national style within a Western European framework.
Levon Chaushian, the president of Armenian Musical Assembly said that unlike other festivals celebrating Khachaturian’s centenary, this one will present the works of young Russian, Georgian and Armenian composers, who continue the traditions and the style of Khachaturian.
