ISTANBUL – Turkish-Armenian Business Development Council said that the government which was exerting efforts to establish intensive economic relations with all neighbor countries including Greece should turn its eyes to Armenia now.
Releasing a statement on Wednesday, the Council said that removal of tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan and normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia would be the most important agenda topics of Caucasus in the near future.
The statement said that Turkey should also discuss the future of relations with Armenia these days when there were intensive discussions on dispatch of soldiers to Iraq in Ankara.
It noted that the government, politicians and experts should review relations with Yerevan.
Turkish-Armenian Business Development Council stressed that they supported bold step which was taken by Turkish diplomacy to normalize relations with Armenia and new compromise initiatives which were launched by Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul and Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanyan.
The statement noted that Turkey should bring a new Eurasia vision to its foreign policy.
The statement added that there were necessary conditions to turn negative understanding into positive currently.
