YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18. ARMINFO. On October 1-9, the international theater festival “Arm Fest” is to start in Armenia, President of the Armenian branch of the Dutch Cultural Fund Artur Ghukassian told reporters. According to him, such a festival in Armenia will afford Armenia’s theater companies the opportunity to present themselves to professional theater workers that have been invited to the festival as guests of honor from different countries.
The budget of the festival is 15mln. AMD, 25% of the funds being the Government’s share. However, one of the organizers, Director of the “ALFAEL” producer center Levon Abramian said that the theater companies assumed the main cost of their stay in Armenia.
Ghukassian also pointed out that participating in the festival will be well-known theater companies from Sweden, Czechia, Great Britain, Israel, Hungary, Serbia, Russia. Armenia is to be represented by 12 theaters from Yerevan, Vanadzor and Artsakh (Nagorny Karabakh). The tickets will cost 1,000 to 2,000 AMD.
