Armenia’s foreign and education and science ministries developed a set of jubilee events dedicated to the 400-th anniversary of the foundation of Iran’s Nor Jugha Armenian community, one of the oldest of the Diaspora communities, to be submitted to the government’s approval.
   The science and education ministry press secretary said that the celebration events will be launched in December 2003, with publication of a trilingual, Armenian, Persian and English, book on Nor Jugha history, while the transport and communication ministry will circulate stamps and envelopes with architectural monuments of Nor Jugha in February 2004.
   Further an exhibition will be held in the Art Gallery of Armenia called Iran by the Eyes of Armenian Painters in May, parallel to an exhibition of Armenian and Persian manuscripts in Matenadaran, old manuscript Museum in Yerevan. Meanwhile the academy of Sciences of Armenia, Yerevan State University and Ispahan University will hold a scientific conference called Nor Jugha in the Crossroads of Civilizations.
   The events will proceed with delegation exchanges, jubilee sessions, scientific conferences and concerts.
