YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS: The special committee of the pan-Armenian games, launched recently in Yerevan, yesterday at Ani Plaza hotel opened “Miss Pan-Armenian Games-2003” beauty contest, with participation of 17 beauties-candidates.
First deputy chairman of the pan-Armenian games’ world committee Ashot Melik-Shahnazarian exhibited the silver crown of the winner made in a local jewellery plant.
The name of the winner will be announced only August 24, the closing day of the games, the crown will be handed to the pan-Armenian beauty by president Robert Kocharian.
Miss Pan-Armenian Games-2003 will be granted the right to light the fire of the next games as it was done at the beginning of the current games in the pagan temple Garni, dedicated to the god of the Sun, Hellios, by Istanbul residing Maral Aktash, winner of the previous contest.
