armenpress: PHILIP MORRIS SUPPORTS DISABLED ARMENIAN CHILDREN

YEREVAN, AUGUST 19, ARMENPRESS: Philip Morris Management Service B.V. representative office in Armenia in cooperation with Prkutyun charitable union for assistance to disabled children, has provided support in the amount of 5.5 million Drams to 100 disabled children registered within the union.

The aim of the 2003 Contribution Program for Prkutyun is to contribute to the improvement of the children’s lives and to promote their integration in the society. Within the framework of the program children will receive various medical equipment, including hearing aids, wheelchairs, eyeglasses, glyco-meters and other necessary assistance. Eye prosthesis installation surgeries will be performed for children. Computer and other devices as well as video materials will be given to the education center operating in the union, to make the daily routine of the disabled children, left out of the education system, more efficient.

“we, as a responsible community member, want to help, protect and take care of the disabled children. Supporting and paying attention to disabled may give them confidence and optimism to help overcome the difficulties of life,” Aharon Tadevosin, Corporate Affairs executive of Philip Morris Management Services B.V representative office in Armenia said. On August 20 a performance will be held by disabled children at Prkutyun Union.
