YEREVAN, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS: A monument to Soghomon Teylerian, created by famous Armenian sculptor Levon Tokmajian, will be erected in a Yerevan Achapniak community in a month, Yerevan authorities said today.
Soghomon Teyleryan, an eyewitness of the massacres of thousands of Armenians by the government of Young Turks in the last years of the Ottoman Empire, was found not guilty by a Berlin court in 1921 after killing Taliat pasha, one of the organizers of the 1915 genocide, on a Berlin street.
