Yerevan, 2 August: In the first half of 2003, tax revenue to the
Armenian budget totalled 93m drams 157.6m dollars , which is 0.6 per
cent lower than the half-year plan, the Armenian Ministry of Finance
and Economy told Arminfo news agency.
According to the source, this circumstance is explained by the failure
to collect enough profit tax and customs duties. In customs duties,
4.6bn drams 7.8m dollars were collected, which is 12.8 per cent lower
than planned, and in profit tax 7.6bn drams 12.9m dollars , which is
26.6 per cent lower than planned.
